"EXchange / Transit Love 4" Park Hyun-ji shared behind-the-scenes details of the program, then apologized and deleted the video.
On the 3rd, Park Hyun-ji posted on her YouTube channel Park Hyun-ji is that Hello, this is Hyun-ji. Because some content in the video I uploaded seemed to have harmed the grants and production staff, after much thought I took the video down.
Earlier, on the 24th of last month Park Hyun-ji uploaded a video answering viewers' questions about "EXchange / Transit Love 4" titled I didn't expect this question to come up… I filmed a Q&A. At the time, she denied the "Hyun-keo-seol" with Jo Yoo-sik, who became a final couple, and drew attention by revealing the process of appearing on the program with two 'X' people for the first time.
Park Hyun-ji said, In fact, I can't clearly know who applied. The production staff didn't tell me the process. I was contacted first via DM. I wasn't someone who used Instagram a lot or had many followers. At first I didn't see the DM and ignored it, but they left a comment on a post asking me to check just once, so I thought someone had applied. But they didn't tell me that either, so I don't know the reason.
She continued, Once you go there they ask about all your past relationships. They ask about the people I've dated and the story unfolds while talking about them. Until I received confirmation to appear on the broadcast, I didn't know who the counterpart was. In fact, I learned I would go out with two people when I met the production staff about twice for meetings, and at the third meeting they asked to meet once more, and then they said that Hyun-ji's exes all wanted to appear. Seeing that, they thought I was an attractive person. So they asked if they could do it with me, but two (X) people would appear, is that okay? I asked, Who are the two? They said, Someone, someone. Those two agreed and it's just up to Hyun-ji to decide. She said she later found out she would appear with two Xs.
He said, Because I was sure about the person I had feelings for, I thought I would only go out with that person. When it actually happened, I was very worried, but at the time they said the person I wanted to reunite with would appear, so I decided I should also go out with that mindset. After the video was released, some netizens criticized the production staff for a lack of consideration for the grants. In fact, Park Hyun-ji had received negative reactions from some viewers for appearing alone with two Xs among the participants. But Park Hyun-ji asked in a comment that the production staff never forced or pressured her and that she still maintains good relations with the PD and writers, and asked people to refrain from slander based on misunderstandings or speculation.
As criticism toward the production staff intensified, Park Hyun-ji eventually deleted the video. In a community notice she said, My first video, which I had prepared to show an honest side of myself, ultimately caused a lot of speculation and misunderstanding and I failed to consider that it could hurt someone. I apologize to those who felt uncomfortable because of this. She added, I politely ask that people refrain from slander that would hurt the production staff who worked hard for the filming and the participants who joined. With a more cautious attitude, I will return with enjoyable and diverse content.
However, fans pointed out that other participants, excluding Park Hyun-ji, posted behind-the-scenes videos on their personal channels without any problems, and expressed anger that only Park Hyun-ji is being judged harshly. In particular, the video received such intense interest that it surpassed 710,000 views immediately after it was published. Given the importance of view counts on YouTube, they appealed, Who will take responsibility for the loss of views? and Please cut out that part and re-release it publicly.
