ILLIT's debut song 'Magnetic' added another meaningful record in Japan.
According to an article published by Oricon Japan on the 4th, the title track 'Magnetic' from ILLIT (Yoonah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha)'s mini album 1 'SUPER REAL ME' had been played a cumulative 302,897,729 times as of the 1st.
Oricon explained, "'Magnetic' reached 300 million streams 101 weeks after first appearing on the 'weekly streaming ranking.' This is the shortest period among foreign female artists on the same chart."
'Magnetic' enjoyed global popularity upon its release in March 2024. The song not only topped major domestic music charts but also reached 100 million streams in Oricon's 'weekly streaming ranking' (June 17, 2024) at the fastest pace for a single song by a female group. In particular, as the first and fastest K-pop debut song to enter the U.S. Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' and the U.K. Official 'Singles Top 100,' it proved the power of a "super rookie."
It is also notable that the song has had long-running success on global charts. 'Magnetic' surpassed 700 million cumulative streams on the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify at the fastest pace among K-pop group debut songs (as of November 2025). In addition, nearly two years after its release, it remains firmly positioned on Melon's daily chart, which is still regarded as a barometer of popular appeal.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will kick off the first leg of their tour 'ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START♥' in SEOUL' over two days on the 14th and 15th at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Seoul (formerly the handball gymnasium). The shows sold out all performances early on the first day of presale, demonstrating ILLIT's ticket power.
