Global short-form drama "Shared Space Romance" (Shared Space Romance) officially announced its main and supporting cast lineup, marking its official start.
The 50-episode project Shared Space Romance, with youth·cohabitation·romance as its keywords, completed a script reading on the 1st and has currently begun filming. This work is a youth romance that zeroes in on the delicate emotional lines and excitement points unique to Korean drama, and it plans to densely capture the tremor of emotions that come from timing in a short-form format. It foregrounds the empathy and emotional detail where Korean romance has shown strength, targeting the tastes of global viewers.
It is notable that, departing from the recent short-form market trend centered on revenge·chaebol·sensational developments, this work puts a traditional Korean-style romance focused on emotion and empathy at the forefront. Instead of implausible stimulation, it competes with excitement, and instead of exaggeration, it competes with detail.
Plus X ENM leads the main production, and Chaan Creations and ThemeWork Studio participate as co-producers in this Korea·Thailand joint global project. Direction is by director Park In-woo, and director Kim Seong-bok participated in cinematography. The script was written by writer Kim Doyeon. The production team, which demonstrated the possibility of international collaboration through Devil's Kiss, has once again joined hands to continue its global expansion.
In this drama, the consecutive casting of Thailand's top actor Kongthap Peak draws attention. He joined immediately after finishing filming Devil's Kiss as the male lead 'Park Jeong-woo' in Shared Space Romance, continuing his presence as a global lead actor.
Park Jeong-woo, whom Kongthap Peak will portray, is a character who lives with pain he could not tell Han Se-na, and he is a character with a deep inner self within restrained emotions. Complex psychology and delicate emotional lines are expected to lead the center of the drama.
K-POP girl group "Passigirls" alumnus Choi Ji-in was cast as the female lead 'Han Se-na.' Sena is a character who, having been unable to forget Jeong-woo for a long time, tries to approach his life again, portraying the face of youth that holds both longing and excitement.
In supporting roles, Park Eun-seong joins as 'Seo Jun-hyuk' and Mizuki, formerly of K-POP girl group "Secret Number," joins as 'Lee Ha-eun.' Jun-hyuk is a carefree yet loyal figure who stays by Jeong-woo's side, and Ha-eun adds vitality to the drama by leading Jun-hyuk with bright, bubbly energy.
Also, Kim Woo-hyeok was cast as university senior 'Kim Ji-hun,' who has a crush on Sena, and Kim Gyu-min was cast as 'Lee Soo-bin,' who holds the twist in the high school story.
Plus X ENM, which has been consecutively presenting Korea·Thailand joint projects, plans to once again prove the global scalability and production scale in the short-form drama market through this work. Shared Space Romance, which is currently in production, is being produced with the goal of later releasing on major global short-form platforms.<
