Park Sung-woong's rough rural survival project is set to begin in earnest.
The new KBS 2TV miniseries premiering on the 26th, "Simu-myeon Yeonriri" (directed by Choi Yeon-su, written by Song Jeong-rim and Wang Hye-ji), is a family reboot healing drama about the genuine city family Seong Tae-hoon household, who suddenly land in the pristine, fierce(?) district "Yeonriri," struggling madly to return to Seoul.
The Thursday primetime series "Simu-myeon Yeonriri" is directed by Choi Yeon-su, who co-directed "Pump Up the Healthy Love," "Crazy Love" and "The Spies Who Loved Me," and is co-written by Song Jeong-rim, who wrote "My Merry Marriage," and Wang Hye-ji, who wrote "Romance Without Love." In addition, actors Park Sung-woong and Lee Soo-kyung draw attention by appearing as a married couple.
The second teaser released today (the 4th) begins with Seong Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong), a K-family head who rose to a corporate director general position on the strength of a single ability, suddenly being reassigned and arriving in the rural "Yeonriri." He boldly appears announcing to the residents that his goal is cabbage development. But Yeonriri village head Im Joo-hyeong (played by Lee Seo-Hwan) shows blatant hostility toward him, who belongs to "Taste Story," saying, "Don't ever help Seong Tae-hoon," and the two men's awkward(?) first meeting foreshadows serious conflict.
Because of Im Joo-hyeong's obstruction, Seong Tae-hoon faces difficulties in farming, and the tension escalates to the point of physical fights. Corporate director general Seong Tae-hoon, who must succeed in cabbage farming to return to Seoul, and village head Im Joo-hyeong, who wants to protect the village's pride, collide at every turn as rival foes, raising the drama's interest to a peak.
Meanwhile, the eldest son of Seong Tae-hoon and Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung), Seong Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jinwoo), and Im Bo-mi (played by Choi Gyu-ri), the only daughter of village head Im Joo-hyeong and Nam Hye-seon (played by Nam Kwon-ah), are strongly drawn to each other, creating the fresh atmosphere of first love and attracting attention. Im Bo-mi, whose heart was shaken by Yeonriri's "new face" Seong Ji-cheon, reveals her cautious sincerity, saying, "This is our secret, let's keep it secret." Amid adults' confrontations, an unexpected flutter grows between the two, making viewers' hearts race. The secret romantic line that began between two families that are virtually enemies is expected to add another layer of tension and excitement to the drama.
