2NE1 (2NE1) Park Bom suddenly targeted member Sandara Park.
On the 3rd, Park Bom posted a long handwritten letter on her social account addressed "to the people of the nation."
The letter contained an explanation that she is taking the psychotropic drug Adderall and "it's not drugs. I am a patient with ADD (attention deficit disorder)." Adderall is a combination of the controlled substance amphetamine and is a psychotropic drug used for treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) because of its stimulant effects.
But along with this she posted an attack saying "Park Sandara was caught for drugs and made Park Bom a drug user to cover it up," drawing attention. Earlier, in 2010 Park Bom was embroiled in controversy for importing 82 tablets of the controlled drug Adderall into Korea through international mail without customs declaration and without approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. At the time, prosecutors confirmed it was for treatment purposes and issued a suspended prosecution measure.
In this context, Park Bom claimed the controversy was made by using her as a scapegoat to cover up Sandara Park's drug scandal, sparking an uproar.
Meanwhile, Park Bom has suspended 2NE1 activities since August last year due to health problems. At the time she posted incomprehensible posts on social media that caused confusion, and her agency Dination Entertainment said, "We apologize for causing concern due to Park Bom's recent personal social media posts. Currently Park Bom is emotionally very unstable, communication is not smooth, and she is in urgent need of treatment and rest for recovery," adding, "She has suspended all activities and is focusing on treatment and recovery."
