2NE1 member Park Bom, who had suspended activities to focus on treatment, is causing a stir after posting a targeted post toward a member.
On the 3rd, Park Bom posted a long handwritten letter on her social account saying, I am writing this because I want to tell you the truth.
Through this, she explained the Adderall import controversy that erupted in 2010. Adderall(Adderall) is a compound of the controlled substance amphetamine and is a psychotropic medicine used for treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) among other conditions because of its stimulant effect.
In 2010, Park Bom was embroiled in controversy for importing Adderall, a regulated drug in Korea, into the country via international mail without customs declaration and without approval from the Ministery of Food and Drug Safety. However, because Adderall was proven to be a nonnarcotic psychotropic drug and for treatment purposes, the prosecution issued a suspension of indictment and the controversy was temporarily settled.
Meanwhile, about 16 years later Park Bom brought up the matter and claimed, That is not a drug. I am a patient with ADD (attention deficit disorder), and said, Park Sandara was caught for drugs and to cover that up they made Park Bom look like a drug addict. At the time there was no law about Adderall in the country, but strangely the law was enacted after Park Bom. I ask the public to please investigate exactly as it is.
She also targeted others, mentioning her former agency and saying, Please do not report to the country that Park Bom used more of a drug than the prescribed amount when she had almost not used any drugs for nearly 30 years.
In response, a close associate of Park Bom told OSEN, As you know, this happened because Park Bom became unstable in her health. Please understand, and sought to contain the situation. Park Bom suspended activities from August last year to focus on recovering her health and resting. The targeted post is also said to have stemmed from her emotional instability.
This is not Park Bom's first attack. Since 2024 she has raised revelations from a self-dating rumor with Lee Minho to issues about settlements with her former agency, but the agency explained that, Settlements related to Park Bom's 2NE1 activities have already been completed, and said, Park Bom has suspended all activities and is focusing on treatment and recovery. We will do our best to help the artist regain her health.
It added that, Currently Park Bom is in a very emotionally unstable state and communication is not smooth, so treatment and rest for recovery are desperately needed, and noted, As the SNS post has spread through various channels it is being interpreted differently from the facts or causing unnecessary misunderstanding. Because of this, harm is spreading not only to Park Bom herself but also to family members and acquaintances. We ask that you refrain from indiscriminately sharing the post.
Despite the agency's containment, Park Bom rebutted, I have always been totally fine healthwise. Don't worry everyone, and has continued to share updates steadily via SNS. But this time she caused confusion by even posting a targeted post toward the same member. The post has since been deleted.
Meanwhile, regarding this controversy, Sandara Park's agency Abyss Company said the exclusive contract has now expired.
