Riding on enthusiastic word of mouth from audiences, the film "Humint" (director Ryu Seung-wan, distributed/produced by NEW, produced by Oeyunaegang) has entered a long-running hit orbit and held a variety of themed screenings.
The film "Humint" has been spreading by word of mouth for its thrilling real action, and it successfully held themed screenings that matched its concept. First, on Feb. 28 (Sat.) at 2 p.m. at Lotte Cinema World Tower, a "You'll get a lot of exercise! Teto men and women" screening was held for metropolitan-area physical education students and sports club members. This preview, held with the message "The action is insane! Watch 'Humint' and blow off stress!," included an event giving away Buldak spicy ramyeon and beer, which drove enthusiastic participation. The fighting and chase scenes that continued throughout the screening created such high tension that people physically flinched, and among audience members there were reactions like "felt like watching an action movie on a treadmill," showing a powerful theater experience.
Later that same day at 5 p.m. at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall, a "We watch together" screening was held with members of a futsal community. Under the concept "Today, not on the ground but on the screen! The more we gather, the more fun!," the screening generated the natural cheers and reactions typical of group viewings at every action scene. During intense gun action, car chases and tense pursuit scenes, the audience collectively held their breath and immersed themselves, demonstrating on site the concept "an action movie that's more thrilling when watched together."
Thus, "Humint" is intense when seen alone but even more thrilling when seen together, amplifying the enjoyment of theater viewing as a real action film felt physically on the screen. Raising the excitement further through audience-participation themed screenings, "Humint" tells the story of people with different aims clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in a cold sea of ice, and is being widely screened at theaters nationwide.
