Actor Yoo Hai Jin's potential move to Hyunbin's agency VAST Entertainment is drawing attention both inside and outside the entertainment industry.
On the 2nd, a VAST Entertainment official said, "It is true that we are positively discussing an exclusive contract with actor Yoo Hai Jin." However, it was confirmed that no final decision has been made yet.
Currently, VAST Entertainment is home to a large number of actors with diverse styles, led by Hyunbin, Jang Geun-seok, Shin Do-hyun, Ryu Hyeyoung, Park So-i, Hwang Wooseul-hye, Kim Woo Kyum, Kim Seo-an, Lee Hoo-jeong, Baek Si-won and others.
Alongside the agency transfer issue, Yoo Hai Jin's screen performances are also showing a formidable momentum. Yoo Hai Jin captivated audiences with director Jang Hang-jun's new film The King's Warden, which opened on Feb. 4.
According to the Korea Film Council (KOFIC) box office integrated computer network, the film drew a whopping 817,212 viewers in a single day on the 1st, which was a public holiday, solidifying its No. 1 position at the box office. The current cumulative audience stands at 8,484,433, entering a "10 million countdown."
If The King's Warden reaches 10 million viewers as it stands, it would be the first 10 million film of 2026 and a major record coming about two years after The Roundup: Punishment. Above all, for Yoo Hai Jin personally, it would build a monumental fifth 10 million film following The King's Man, Veteran, A Taxi Driver and Exhuma.
Attention is focused on Yoo Hai Jin's future moves as he faces the dual celebrations of meeting a new agency and becoming a "50 million actor".
