On the 2nd, Ji So-yeon said, "I am taking seriously the various opinions sent regarding the Japan travel video uploaded in late February," referring to the Japan travel video with broadcaster Yang Mi-ra that was posted on her YouTube channel.
Ji So-yeon said, "The video was content recording a trip taken on Feb. 11, but it is my fault for not sufficiently and deeply considering the significance of the timing of posting. I am truly sorry for not having examined it more carefully," and added, "Although the video recorded my personal daily life, regardless of intent, I take full responsibility for the discomfort and disappointment caused by the timing of the post. I apologize once again."
The controversy surrounding Ji So-yeon began with a video titled 'I'm a free woman from today!! (Japan trip with. Yang Mi-ra unni)' posted on her YouTube channel on the 28th of last month. According to Ji So-yeon, the trip took place on Feb. 11, but because the upload date was the day before March 1st, it became embroiled in controversy.
In the end, Ji So-yeon apologized, saying, "Through this incident I have come to realize more deeply that I must act with greater caution and responsibility. From now on I will pay much more careful attention to the social context and timing in all processes of planning and releasing content. I will humbly accept the criticisms sent to me," and she deleted the video.

Before Ji So-yeon, on Aug. 15, 2023, Liberation Day, Go So-young posted photos of a family trip to Japan with her husband Jang Dongkeon and their children and faced heavy criticism.
At the time, Go So-young quickly deleted the post as if recognizing the problem after receiving criticism and apologized, saying, "I am sorry for causing discomfort on an important day. I deleted it immediately after realizing it, but it was too late. I will be more careful in the future."
Even if it is not travel, inappropriate posts often provoke controversy, so extra caution is necessary.
