Actress Kim Ji-su announced a second act in life as the head of a travel agency.
On the 2nd, Kim Ji-su posted a long message on her social media saying, "Hello. I greet you as the representative of 'Jisu in Prague.'"
She confessed that for someone who has acted for a long time, "travel" was the experience that changed her life most deeply and said, "the old cities, architecture, art and ways of life in Europe gave me a lot of inspiration and made me reconsider the speed and direction of my life."
She went on to explain the background for founding the travel agency, saying, "so I wanted to make travel not just a trip but an experience that expands life."
Kim Ji-su said, "In May 2024 I suddenly left alone and fell completely for Prague, which led me to start the travel agency 'Jisu in Prague,'" and added, "It is still a small company, but we are planning special themed tours and events. Because I have traveled a lot and know well what is inconvenient, we are preparing every small detail carefully."
She especially said, "Being a representative who stands with folded arms does not suit my style," and expressed her intention to be active on the ground, saying, "Except when I am necessarily in Korea for Korean schedules, I plan to accompany groups on site as much as possible to greet them." She added, "I hope your travels do not end with a few photos but remain as stories that are remembered for a long time."
Earlier, on Feb. 22, Kim Ji-su had said she was going back and forth between Prague and Korea and mentioned that she was "preparing productive work." At the time she said, "These days are busy and sometimes overwhelming and difficult, but isn't it fun to solve things one by one?" conveying her busy recent life. She also hinted at change, saying it was "another new spring."
At the end of last year, Kim Ji-su also opened up about a gap in her acting activities, saying, "I had to spend a year with neither projects nor even active management by my agency." She drew attention by confessing, "I regret that I only know how to act."
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-su faced public criticism in the past for three alcohol-related controversies. In 2000 she was caught driving without a license while heavily intoxicated; in 2010 she collided with a taxi while intoxicated and fled, receiving a fine. In 2018 she appeared heavily intoxicated at a film promotion interview, causing the schedule to be canceled.
