Actor Lee Si Woo capped the finale with the contrasting charms of a fox that alternates between a physical body and a spirit.
Lee Si Woo, in episodes 11 and the finale of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama No Tail to Tell (written by Park Chanyoung·Jo Ahyoung, directed by Kim Jeongkwon, planned by Studio S, produced by Binge Works·MOG Film), which aired on the 27th and 28th, played Palmiho Geumho, portraying the character's dramatic transformation with density and firmly anchoring the drama's center.
In episode 11, Geumho lost consciousness when Jang Docheol (Kim Tae Woo) shook the Geumgangryeong, and faced the crisis of the body and spirit separating. Lee Si Woo vividly portrayed the empty-eyed gaze of the body Geumho whose soul had left, and the desperation of the spirit Geumho, who agonized because Eunho (Kim Hyeyoon) could not see him.
In particular, the scene in which he shifts coldly while having an everyday conversation with Eunho in a hallucination and asks about the whereabouts of the fox bead heightened the drama's tension. The opposing confrontation between spirit Geumho, who tries to protect the fox bead, and body Geumho, who threatens Eunho, was completed through Lee Si Woo's solid acting and brought engagement to a peak.
Moreover, at the desperate moment when body Geumho choked Eunho, spirit Geumho squeezed out all his strength and sent a signal to Kang Siyul (Lomon). Lee Si Woo exquisitely depicted the two selves intersecting in the same space, keeping the tension until the end.
The finale also depicted Geumho as a gumiho after time had passed. He revealed that he was the one who, after just becoming a gumiho, poured out his power to save Kang Siyul, who was on the brink of death, delivering a warm, moving moment.
Lee Si Woo said, "I sincerely thank all the viewers. Thanks to those who watched Geumho and Palmiho's journey together, this work could shine even more," and added, "The process of Palmiho gradually learning human emotions was also a time when I grew as an actor. If this work could offer viewers a small comfort, excitement and warmth, that alone is a great reward," delivering a heartfelt closing remark.
Expectations are growing for Lee Si Woo's future steps after showing a wide acting spectrum in this work, from innocent appearances to chilling charisma.
