The reality of financial control for comedian couple Choi Yangrak and Paeng Hyun-sook, married 38 years, was revealed.
On the 27th, the YouTube channel "안녕한샘요" uploaded a video titled "Husband who has received an allowance for 38 years!? Still happy: daily life of the comedian power couple Choi Yangrak & Paeng Hyun-sook."
The released video showed Kim Gyu-won visiting the couple's home.
The couple, who live in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, said in unison, "We aren't silver spoon kids; we are self-made." Paeng Hyun-sook said, "We weren't even bronze spoon kids; we were stone spoon kids. We moved about 13 times," and described their current home as "five bedrooms, two bathrooms."
To that, Choi Yangrak joked, "The house is in Paeng Hyun-sook's name. I have nothing," drawing laughter. Paeng Hyun-sook explained, "Because my husband isn't around, I signed on his behalf when we made contracts, so everything ended up in my name," which provoked more laughter.
They were even more honest about financial control. Paeng Hyun-sook declared, "I managed everything from start to finish." Then Choi Yangrak revealed a specific amount, saying, "I still live on an allowance. I get 1,000,000 won a month."
Paeng Hyun-sook shot back, "If I give him more money, he won't come home. He only comes home when he doesn't have a single 10-won coin. I have to empty him out," which caused uproarious laughter.<
