'Amazing Saturday' DAY6 Young K showed remarkable performance in his first regular appearance.
On Feb. 28, the tvN variety show Amazing Saturday (hereafter Amazing Saturday) featured a 'ZZ' special with Cho Jjaez and Woozi, and Young K appeared as a fixed Doremi member.
Young K, who is currently in DAY6's 10th anniversary concert, said, "We are in DAY6's 10th anniversary concert. I want to join quickly, so I'm adjusting my schedule. I'll finish my work and come back quickly," showing his enthusiasm.
But broadcaster Shin Dong-yeob said he was surprised, saying, "A few days ago P.O and I had a housewarming at a friend of Young K's house, so we met and had a drink," as he had no idea. Young K said, "The producers said it was absolutely a secret, so I didn't say a word," and added, "They said there was an important shoot on Friday," explaining that he had given a hint while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Appearing next, Woozi and Cho Jjaez revealed an unexpected connection. Woozi said, "I once went to a shop through someone I knew, and the shop owner sang so well. The shop owner was Cho Jjaez. So we had a two-hour karaoke battle," and added, "Then when I was in the military, I saw the karaoke shop owner on the charts. Watching the music video, the owner was singing against a black background. I thought, that's someone I know? Then suddenly he appeared on Immortal Songs, and his song climbed up my charts as if tightening his grip," as he spoke about Cho Jjaez.
Cho Jjaez boasted of his friendship with Woozi, saying, "Woozi was so handsome. He sang songs like 'Tears' in a female key. I thought he'd make it, and even before enlisting he was extremely popular. After appearing on Immortal Songs, Woozi even texted me to congratulate me."
That day Cho Jjaez said he secretly wanted to be a fixed Doremi member. Although he gets nervous doing talk show live segments, Cho Jjaez said, "Isn't this Amazing Saturday suitable for me? Woozi said, "This is not the first song. It was released two to three years after debut. Compared to just before debut, feelings after debut would be internalized. So 'worn shoes' doesn't seem right," and argued that 'different but' was correct. Young K said, "Why would it be before debut?" and argued that 'worn shoes' was correct for the song description 'the determination of an idol about to debut.' Young K's assertion was correct. Young K then proved he is an all-rounder new Doremi member by energetically eating gomchi-guk on camera.
