On the evening of the 28th at 8 p.m., KBS2 weekend drama Recipe For Love (written by Park Ji Sook, directed by Han Joon Seo and Bae Eun Hye, produced by HB Entertainment) aired episode 9, which featured Yang Hyun Bin (So E-hyun)'s direct confession toward Gong Joo Ah (Jin Se Yun) and the struggle between the Gong and Yang families to protect their wounded relatives.
Gong Joo Ah and Yang Hyun Bin witnessed the affair between Lee Hee Kyung (Kim Bo Jeong) and Min Yong Gil (Kwon Hae Seong) together. But when Officer Jung (Hong Jin Ki) blocked Yang Dong Sook (Jo Mi Ryung), who was approaching the scene, the tense situation was defused for the time being. Afterwards, Gong Joo Ah and Yang Hyun Bin expressed anger and devastation, worried about the wounds their respective families would suffer.
The long-standing feud between Gong Jeong Han (Kim Seung Su) and Yang Dong Ik (Kim Hyeong Mook) finally exploded as well. Yang Dong Ik was angry that his meeting with Hwang Eui Won was canceled because of Gong Jeong Han, and Gong Jeong Han confronted him, criticizing Yang Dong Ik's tricks and document tampering point by point. In response, Yang Dong Ik revealed his inferiority complex by mentioning everything from his first love Han Seong Mi (Yoo Ho Jung) to the incidents involving the Yang parents, and even grabbed him by the collar, heightening the drama's tension.
Meanwhile, Yang Hyun Bin conveyed his long-held feelings for Gong Joo Ah. Saying he would even change his embarrassing family for Gong Joo Ah's sake, he displayed an unabashed, straightforward charm with, "I can't hide my feelings any longer." Gong Joo Ah was taken aback by the sudden confession but declared she would not go on the blind date tomorrow, delivering a soft, fluttering excitement to viewers at home.
Yang Hyun Bin also launched a reconciliation mission between Yang Dong Ik and Yang Seon Chul (Ju Jin Mo). They shared mate tea and made time to air their grievances. Yang Dong Ik voiced the resentment he felt being compared to Gong Jeong Han since childhood, and Yang Seon Chul expressed disappointment with his son for being indifferent to his pain. The two ultimately apologized to each other, providing viewers with a warm, touching moment.
Yang Dong Ik then embarked on a full-fledged anti–unfavorability improvement project. As part of merchant association activities, he took the lead in morning exercises and made changes such as personally noting merchants' complaints. Adopting the motto of a vice president who works more actively than the president, his future actions sparked curiosity.
At the end of the broadcast, the drama delivered intense immersion with an unpredictable development. Lee Hee Kyung appeared in front of Min Yong Gil, who had pretended to leave for Saudi Arabia while being seen off by his family. Enraged by Lee Hee Kyung's brazen attitude of "the person your husband loves is me," Yang Dong Sook grabbed Lee Hee Kyung by the hair, and while Cha Se Ri (Park Ki Woong) tried to stop her, the chaotic ending in which Han Seong Mi's face was struck brought expectations for the next episode to a peak.
