My Little Old Boy actor Park Shin-yang revealed a harrowing behind-the-scenes story that during the filming of the drama 'Lovers in Paris' he relied on painkillers because of severe injuries.
The SBS My Little Old Boy aired one day ago and revealed a very special meeting between the two leads of the legendary drama 'Lovers in Paris' that had the whole nation buzzing, Park Shin-yang and Lee Dong-gun.
Park Shin-yang met with Heo Kyunghwan and Lee Dong-gun and recalled the filming of 'Lovers in Paris' 22 years ago. At the time, Park Shin-yang, who at 36 had sparked the 'Han Gi-joo craze,' said that despite his flashy appearance he was fighting a desperate battle on set.
Park Shin-yang mentioned the tight production schedule that required actors to leave for Paris as soon as they met, and said, "We were constantly filming and I injured my back." He added, "(When we weren't filming) I was lying down all the time and getting painkillers. To be honest, how should I put it about the whole of 'Lovers in Paris'—I filmed it in a daze (because of the painkillers). (When we weren't filming) everyone was on crutches," a confession that shocked everyone.
Lee Dong-gun, who also appeared in the show, testified, "The production environment was very different from now," saying they had a murderous schedule with no time even to eat or drink tea.
