JYP Publishing writer Hong Ji-sang won the honor of the 12th KOMCA Copyright Awards.
Hong Ji-sang was selected in the arrangement institutional sector of the popular music category at the 12th "Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) Copyright Awards," held Feb. 25 at the COEX Magok Convention Center in Seoul. The KOMCA Copyright Awards are a ceremony that honors the efforts of creators who contributed to the development of the music industry over the year.
Registered with a total of 391 songs under the Korea Music Copyright Association standard, Hong Ji-sang has been recognized in the industry as a veteran creator through consistent work. Since forming a relationship with JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) in 2008, he has maintained unwavering trust as a long-time partner of JYP Publishing and contributed his touch to album work by JYP artists such as Park Jin-Young (J.Y. Park), Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2PM, DAY6, Stray Kids, Xdinary Heroes (Xdinary Heroes, XH), helping to shine in their collaborative efforts.
Hong Ji-sang participated in hit-song work that recorded chart comebacks such as DAY6 "You Were Beautiful", "So That It Can Become a Page", and "HAPPY," and he added his touch to album arrangement work for prominent K-pop artists, including Park Jin-Young's "Only You", Wonder Girls' "Why So Lonely", 2PM's "Again&Again", and Sunmi's "24 Hours Is Not Enough."
