Singer Yangpa talked about her experience of personally soliciting investment during the production of a full-length album.
Yesterday, on the 27th, KBS 2TV The Seasons – 10cm's Sseudam Sseudam featured singer Yangpa, who appeared to talk.
That day, Kwon Jeong-yeol mentioned Yangpa's debut song "Aesongi's Love" and recalled that the performance at the time was impressive. He said, "It was a period when I used to watch music programs, and the debut stage remains strongly in my memory," and "The name was unique and both the song and vocal ability were impressive."
Kwon Jeong-yeol then mentioned the recently released full-length album and asked, "I heard you used crutches during the album production process."
Yangpa explained, "I stepped wrong on the stairs and seriously injured my ankle, so I had a cast on." She went on to tell the story of how she personally went to present to attract investment to produce the album.
She said, "I applied for a support program from the Korea Creative Content Agency, and because I was also the company representative there was no one else to present," and "Since I had written the proposal and prepared the material myself, I thought it was appropriate for me to explain it, so I went to do the presentation on crutches."
Yangpa said, "Being selected for the support program allowed me to produce the album," and "I was told by officials that it was the first time a singer personally came and presented." She added, "I felt I grew a bit during the preparation process."
Meanwhile, Yangpa recently released a full-length album after about 18 years and is continuing her musical activities.<
