The farewell was understated to the end.
On the 27th episode of MBC I Live Alone, the second installment of Jun Hyun-moo's "Rainbow grand bazaar A/S" was revealed.
That day, Jun Hyun-moo, who visited Ku Sung-hwan's home last, met Kkot-bun for the first time. Jun Hyun-moo, embracing Kkot-bun instead of Ku Sung-hwan, who was cooking, showed affection, saying, "Oh my, how pretty. Unlike the owner."
The footage was reported to be Kkot-bun's last living moments filmed on I Live Alone. Accordingly, after all broadcasting ended, the production team expressed their feelings with a roughly 20-second memorial video for Kkot-bun, who crossed the rainbow bridge.
In particular, the I Live Alone production team, sending off Kkot-bun, left viewers even more moved by not adding any special comments or captions.
Meanwhile, news of Kkot-bun's passing was revealed on the 21st when Ku Sung-hwan announced it himself. He said, "Even as I write this, I don't want to accept it and I can't believe it. My daughter, my younger sister, my partner Kkot-bun crossed the rainbow bridge on Feb. 14."
He went on, "Kkot-bun received so much love, and I really wanted to say thank you for all the love given in this life! If I had known you would leave like this, I would have fed you more tasty food and taken you on more walks. Only regrets remain."
Ku Sung-hwan said, "Thank you sincerely for loving and caring for Kkot-bun all this time. I will collect myself and return in good health," and on that post, condolence comments from Lee Jang-woo, Code Kunst and Lee Ju-seung, who appeared with him on I Live Alone, followed.
Ku Sung-hwan had received much love by revealing his daily life with his companion dog Kkot-bun on I Live Alone. The production team also drew attention with thoughtful captions that considered Kkot-bun, so this memorial video resonates even more deeply.
