BTS's agency issued a statement regarding the performance time at Gwanghwamun Square.
HYBE on the 28th addressed rumors about BTS's performance time at Gwanghwamun Square, saying, "The Seoul city government never limited the performance time at Gwanghwamun Square to one hour. The performance time is a decision for HYBE and BigHit Music."
This was a response to the spread on online communities of claims that Seoul's administrative regulations had shortened BTS's performance time at Gwanghwamun Square.
HYBE explained the reason for setting the performance time to one hour, saying, "We comprehensively considered the special characteristics of an outdoor public space, audience safety, on-site control, convenience of using public transportation, and late-night noise."
BTS will release their fifth studio album, 'Arirang (ARIRANG),' at 1 p.m. on March 20 and will return as a full group.
They will hold "BTS comeback live: ARIRANG" around Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul for about one hour from 8 p.m. on March 21. The performance will be streamed live online on Netflix as well as held offline.
