The newly revamped 'Would You Record (WOULD YOU RECORD)' returns today (27) to unveil its new look.
Mnet digital studio M2's flagship music talk show 'Would You Record' has won great love from global fans by capturing artists' sincere music stories and high-quality live performances under the romantic worldview of "recording Earth's beautiful songs to send into space." With this renewed launch, it will be available not only on the M2 YouTube channel but also on the global K-pop content platform Mnet Plus, adding to the anticipation.
Younha, who serves as the 'Would You Record' MC and host, said in a written interview, "If last season was a time to explore direction, now it finally feels like it has properly begun," adding, "We will warmly welcome viewers as much as you have trusted us." She also added the hope that "it will become the warmest living room in a universe that grows colder the wider it becomes."
Among the background changes, the set renewal is a viewing highlight that Younha herself pointed out. In the first episode, where viewers can check the mise-en-scène of the new space, IVE's Ahn Yujin appears as a guest and, together with host Younha, presents a special vocal chemistry never seen before.
Younha said about her own know-how for drawing out a guest's innate charm and musical worldview, "I think the relationship between 'person' and 'person' that blooms when they take an interest in each other will be joyful and beautiful for viewers to watch." She also named The Boyz as a memorable guest who started the program and aespa's Karina as an artist she would like to invite.
The newly returned 'Would You Record' will premiere today (27) at 6 p.m. on the M2 YouTube channel and will be released on Mnet Plus at 6 p.m. the following day.

Q. Would You Record has been renovated into a new form. How do you feel about being back with the renewed Would You Record?
In last season we explored direction and style, and now it feels like it has finally properly begun. I am grateful for the trust placed in me.
Q. From the host's perspective, what is the biggest change after the renewal or what viewing points should audiences look forward to?
The changed background is the charming point of the renewal. I feel it embodies a spaceship-like form with a background that can express a variety of colors depending on the song the artist sings and an intimate stage that can go anywhere, creating a freer yet more personal space.
Q. Among the many music contents, what do you think is the unique "differentiation" that only Would You Record has?
It does not belong to the category that starts with high tension, but I think a distinguishing strength is that by the end you can clearly feel the distance between the guest and the host has grown closer and more intimate. The sentiment of "the meeting of small beings in a macro world" that comes from the name and concept also makes this time more precious.
Q. Do you have any special know-how or skills that are uniquely yours to draw out a guest's innate charm and musical worldview?
I don't know if you could call it a special know-how or skill, but I tend to think that the relationship between people that blooms when they take an interest in each other will be joyful and beautiful for viewers to watch.
Q. Many artists have passed through Would You Record. If there is a performance or guest that stood out most during the recordings, please introduce them.
I naturally think of The Boyz, who recorded the first episode. Singing 'Photosynthesis,' a track released on their mixtape, together played a part, and I remember the chemistry between New and Sunwoo being fun.
Q. If you could invite any artist to Would You Record, who would it be?
Because popular music activities inevitably produce results through complex thoughts and meticulous processes, I hope this can be a space where artists can show their true musical tastes without hesitation. In that sense, I am waiting for Karina.
Q. What does the program Would You Record mean to host Younha?
Of the 4.5 billion years of Earth's history, humanity's time is only about three seconds; within that, the fact that we, smaller than small dots, sing in our different voices and listen to and appreciate each other is a great blessing. And being able to view and experience everyone as the intermediary of interaction on both sides is a joyful thing. It gives a slightly broader meaning than work or filming!
