Sunye, formerly of Wonder Girls, shared an anecdote from the early days of her marriage when she lived with her parents-in-law.
On the 27th, Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant aired on KBS 2TV and featured Sunye, formerly of Wonder Girls.
That day Sunye recalled when she lived with her parents-in-law in Canada during her newlywed years. Sunye said, "When I was 24 I married into Canada and there was a time I lived with my parents-in-law," and recalled the memory of preparing meals at home at the time.
She said, "I tried to make jjimdak but it turned into Han River," revealing that her first attempt at cooking ended in failure. She added, "It wasn't an era when YouTube was active like now, so there weren't many ways to learn cooking," and said, "When I went to marry, I packed cookbooks and made dishes one by one while looking at blogs."
Sunye said she naturally came to lead a home-cooked meal–focused life after marriage. She said, "We had a child right away, and as I continued Korean food I began to prepare home meals," and explained, "From then on I started cooking a lot."
Sunye stopped group activities in 2013, married a husband who was formerly a missionary, and has three daughters.<
