With striking looks, a degree from a prestigious university, and what is described as an affluent background, Hanna (pseudonym) is a reputed 'dermatologist' in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Hanna said she rose to the ranks of 'influencers' by sharing information about procedures on social media and interacting with a wide range of people. She was reportedly especially prominent within groups of so‑called successful professionals. However,
Considering Hanna's age, her claimed education and career were absurd. Moreover, her mother, who had been said to run a business, was suddenly described as a 'judge,' and elsewhere as a 'Ministry of Foreign Affairs employee.' When various allegations arose, including that even the English transcript she posted on social media may have been forged, she disappeared without a trace one day.
The fallout was greater than a simple lie. She frequently posted items that gave the impression she was providing medical care. Even the clinic she told people she worked at was an actual operating establishment. Above all, the doctors who met her said her knowledge was 'not something an ordinary patient would know,' and suspected a 'second injection aunt incident.' As suspicions of 'illegal procedures' grew, the clinic director insisted Hanna was only a regular customer and that the clinic suffered significant damage, but doubts have not subsided.
