Actor Park Si-Hoo has been said to be earning more than 500 million won a month from TikTok live broadcasts, but a close aide drew a line saying "not true."
On the afternoon of the 27th, a close aide of Park Si-Hoo told OSEN, "Monthly revenue of 500 million won? That's ridiculous. It's completely untrue," adding, "He does not earn hundreds of millions in revenue, and the biggest reason he does live broadcasts is to communicate with overseas fans whom Park Si-Hoo cannot meet often."
In fact, Park Si-Hoo starred in numerous dramas such as Iljimae, Prosecutor Princess, Cheongdam-dong Alice, The Princess' Man and My Golden Life, many of which recorded high ratings and earned him great love not only in Korea but also overseas. He is a Hallyu star popular in Japan, Indonesia and Australia.
A close aide explained, "Because actor Park Si-Hoo is very popular overseas, many overseas fans come to his live broadcasts, and strangely such rumors have been circulating recently," and added, "(Broadcasts can generate revenue) but they do not bring that much income, and it is not true that he currently earns hundreds of millions in revenue."
Meanwhile, Park Si-Hoo gave a strong performance as a cold North Korean officer in the film The God's Orchestra, which opened at the end of last year, and the work achieved a miraculous reverse run, with cumulative admissions approaching 1.4 million. It captured both artistic merit and box office success. In addition, Park Si-Hoo is preparing for the release of Karma, a film he shot last year with Park Ho-san.
