Singer and producer BUMZU won the grand prize at the KOMCA Copyright Awards for the third consecutive year.
According to PLEDIS Entertainment Co. on the 26th, BUMZU won the grand prize in the popular lyric-writing and composing category at the 12th KOMCA Copyright Awards ceremony held on the 25th.
The KOMCA Copyright Awards is the only copyright awards ceremony in Korea organized by the Korea Music Copyright Association (hereafter KOMCA). The grand prize is awarded to the lyricists and composers who received the most copyright royalties in each category during the previous year.
KOMCA said of BUMZU, "With his unparalleled creative ability, he worked on global hits for SEVENTEEN such as 'THUNDER', 'SONOKONG', 'LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled)', and 'Very NICE', solidifying his status as a K-pop hitmaker."
BUMZU said, "I am sincerely grateful to receive this honorable award. I will continue to repay the public with sincere music that can give comfort and joy."
BUMZU has led trends in the K-pop industry by producing signature songs for artists under PLEDIS Entertainment Co. He joined the Recording Academy® as a voting member last year, and he proved his solid position in the global music market by winning the "AAA 10 Legendary Producer" award at the 10th Asia Artist Awards 2025.
