Actress Kang Bu-ja dismissed rumors about her health and revealed a bright update.
On the 25th, a video titled "Actresses with a combined 300 years of acting experience, no-filter gathering" was uploaded to the YouTube channel Kim Young Ok (KIM YOUNG OK).
Attendees at the actresses' gathering included Kim Young Ok, Kang Bu-ja, Kim Mi-sook, Sa Mi-ja, Baek Soo-ryun, Jeong Jae-soon, Ban Hyo-jeong, and writer Park Jeong-ran, and legendary actresses whose combined acting careers exceed 300 years all turned out.
Kang Bu-ja, who arrived earlier, joked when she saw Kim Young Ok arrive late, "Are you timing because your home is close? What is that?" and said, "When I know we're gathering today, my heart has been "kung-deok kung-deok" about going out since the day before yesterday. I read the newspaper and watch the news as soon as I wake up."
Kim Young Ok said, "When you look at us like this, the person who changes the least is my friend Kang Bu-ja. She even came today with a Chanel brooch on her shoulder; it seems she prepared it since a week ago," and asked, "Why are you acting like you didn't hear me again?" Kang Bu-ja replied, "What did you say? Say it louder," and Kim Young Ok said, "I said it loudly. Are you hard of hearing?" as they bickered and drew laughter.
While the actresses ate, they had a light drink, and at that time Baek Soo-ryun said, "Bu-ja doesn't eat. She used to eat amazingly well, but she doesn't eat now." Hearing this, Kang Bu-ja said, "Me? I didn't quit drinking. I haven't quit drinking, but I don't drink during the day," and Sa Mi-ja added, "The person most needed when drinking is Ban Hyo-jeong. She quietly acts dignified."
Earlier, Kang Bu-ja raised concern when she appeared being supported on the KBS1 program "Morning Yard" broadcast last October, sparking worries including health rumors. Because of her advanced age there were concerns that she might have health issues, but Kang Bu-ja dismissed the health rumors, saying "I am still young at heart," and emphasized that she is still an active working actress.
