'Travel YouTuber 1G shared an update after about three months and announced she was resuming activities.
1G recently released a video titled "Why I came to Nepal" on her YouTube channel '1G's day'.
In the video, she said, "I spent time reflecting on myself and have set out on the road again," and "I will continue to meet you with enjoyable travel videos. I hope you always stay healthy and happy," greeting viewers as she announced her return in a calm tone and foreshadowed a new start.
Earlier, 1G was embroiled in controversy over a video released in November last year titled 'Looking for a 6-pyung office'. She introduced a roughly 6-pyung space on the second basement level with no windows as an office, and when it became known that three staff members were working in that space, criticism over the working conditions arose. In particular, criticism grew as people pointed out the conflict with the channel concept, which had frequently emphasized "the importance of ventilation."
In response, 1G posted apologies three times and bowed her head, saying, "Although I have emphasized the importance of ventilation more than anyone else, I failed to pay careful attention." She also said she switched to working from home immediately after the controversy and explained that some rumors circulating about an office in Hannam-dong and the agency's CEO were not true.
After reducing activities and spending time for about three months following the controversy, 1G fired the starting shot for her comeback with this Nepal travel video. Having returned to travel content after a period of self-reflection, attention is focused on her future moves.
