Cartoonist and broadcaster Kim Poong took a jab at his close friend director Jang Hang-jun's attitude.
On the 25th, in a video uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Chimchakman,' Kim Poong talked about the film 'The King's Warden.'
Kim Poong said, "I went to see the movie 'The King's Warden' yesterday. It was fun. What can I say about director Jang Hang-jun. After Danjong was deposed, he was exiled, right? The story takes place at the place of exile. Actually, the history of Danjong that we know is a sad ending, so people tend not to deal with it much. They took that well-known sad ending and, using those facts, made it detailed and entertaining. Even though it's the sad ending we know, they made it entertaining," praising the film.
Chimchakman said, "You have to filter how you hear this because isn't this the typical pro-Jang Hang-jun reaction? I'm a bit of the opinion that you need to filter this," he said.
To this, Kim Poong said, "But to be honest, I'm a bit upset about this one. Even setting aside them drifting apart because it's doing so well, there's a group chat and they're acting so stuck-up that it's really unpleasant to see," he said, drawing laughter.
He continued, "I called yesterday too, but his tone was different. He was like, 'What's up?' and I was like, 'What's going on? Have you seen it? How was it?' — he speaks like that," and added, "The reaction is good now. The reservation rate is the highest."
He added, "I've seen all of Hang-jun hyung's films so far. I also praised 'Rebound,' but this is definitely different from Hang-jun hyung's usual style. So I kept wondering, did Hang-jun hyung make this alone? I kept doubting it. For Hang-jun hyung, this is his best ever," he praised once more.
