Shindong of the group Super Junior said he cut off contact with his parents over money issues.
On the 25th, on Disney+ "Fate War 49," Shindong, appearing on the show, was asked by a fortune-teller, "Why does (Shindong's) mom keep saying 'money, money, money'?" and answered, "To be honest, I'm not in contact with my mom and dad right now."
Shindong said, "Problems came up because of money," adding, "When I gave my mom living expenses, she would say, 'Don't give it monthly; if you give it all at once, I'll try something with that money and keep you from worrying,' and she always wanted a large sum." He added, "She once took such a large sum and got scammed, and there was also a time she made a bad investment and lost everything."
When the fortune-teller said, "In cases like this, you end up wanting a second family," Shindong replied, "That's right. There is loneliness," and added, "I used to say on broadcasts that I wanted to get married, and I actually almost did. I think the idea that marriage is happiness was in my head."
