Pop star Britney Spears again drew attention with a startling wardrobe malfunction.
Spears on the 26th (local time) posted a dance video on her Instagram. In this video set to Clean Bandit's "Rockabye," she danced wearing a purple lingerie bodysuit adorned with lace.
Early in the video, during an intense movement her outfit slipped and nearly caused a breast exposure. Spears immediately adjusted her top and continued dancing, and the exposed area was covered with a red emoji during editing. In the roughly one-minute video, she displayed her trademark free-spirited dance moves, turning and posing in front of the camera.
The post's caption included a knife and rose emoji together. Given past controversy over a "knife dance" video, fans' attention was focused on this one as well.
Earlier, on the 24th Spears posted another dance video that recreated a similar situation. At that time she danced to Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy," and when a wardrobe exposure occurred she hurriedly covered it with a red heart emoji. She wore a black miniskirt and boots paired with a red crop top over a black bra.
This post was also Spears's first dance video since Jan. 18. She is reported to have sold a music publishing catalog worth hundreds of millions of dollars earlier this month, and she had reduced her social media activity over the past month, raising fans' concerns.
Last November she uploaded a video of herself dancing in a leopard-print bodysuit and referenced "pain and darkness," prompting concern from fans. At the time she said, "There is learning after going through hard things," and "Even in sadness and darkness, exceedingly rare and beautiful things can be born."
