ChoCo1 Ye-chan and Taejo, ChoCo2 Anpan and Yoonji successfully concluded the showcase celebrating the release of producer ChoPd's first family album "ChoCo La Familia".
ChoCo Entertainment held a "ChoCo La Familia" fan showcase at 6 p.m. on the 24th at the Shocking K-Pop Center in Seoul. The event combined an offline performance with an online live stream on the official YouTube channel, creating a meaningful first meeting with domestic and international fans.
Ye-chan, Taejo, Anpan and Yoonji appeared to loud cheers and opened the showcase by premiering the double title track "GIMME." With an addictive melody, intense performance and solid live vocals, they delivered a highly polished stage that belied their average age of 16. They followed with greetings full of excitement that instantly lifted the atmosphere.
The showcase also included a segment introducing tracks from the album. Yoonji's solo "What's Your Wish," Anpan's solo "ZZAN" featuring Taejo, and "On The Street" by Ye-chan and Taejo were presented. The members showcased their individuality and musical abilities with short live performances featuring lively tones and freestyle rap.
There was also a physical album unboxing corner. They introduced various items such as a door hanger, student ID, PVC pouch and photocards, interacting closely with fans. A talk corner that revealed the members' genuine chemistry, two versions of the "GIMME" dance challenge and a session teaching the fan chants were among the diverse programs that filled the venue with enjoyment.
At the end of the event they performed the other double title track "FRENZY," leaving a strong impression. Grand sound, heavy bass and the four members' powerful energy combined to perfectly express the song's swagger and attitude, imprinting ChoCo's unique musical color. After the showcase, various fan events such as high-touch sessions continued, completing a special day. The members conveyed their overflowing emotions, saying, "We will work harder from now on. We will not lose our original intentions and will try to show cool music and various stages. Please watch our growth."
Meanwhile, "ChoCo La Familia," produced by producer ChoPd, a symbol of Korea's first generation of hip-hop and a writer of K-pop's success story, is ChoCo Entertainment's first family project and includes five tracks in total: the double title tracks "GIMME" and "FRENZY," as well as "What's Your Wish," "ZZAN" and "On The Street." Expectations are rising about what growth narrative ChoCo1 and ChoCo2 will continue through this album, which combines the audacity and skill of an average age of 16 with the members' sincerity.
The tracks from "ChoCo La Familia" are available on various music streaming sites, and the full version stage of "FRENZY" is scheduled to be released in early March. After opening their promotions with the showcase, they will appear on various music shows starting with Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 26th, KBS 2TV's MUSIC BANK on the 27th and MBC's Show! Music Core on the 28th.
