Singer and actor Ok Taecyeon will join the ranks of married men in April.
On the 25th, a representative of Ok Taecyeon's agency Fifty One K told OSEN, "Please understand that we cannot provide detailed schedules because the bride-to-be is a non-celebrity."
Earlier, one media outlet reported that Ok Taecyeon will hold a wedding on April 24 at a location in Seoul with a woman four years his junior, with whom he has been dating for 10 years.
Ok Taecyeon's fiancée is the partner he acknowledged dating in 2020. Ok Taecyeon has since nurtured their love through more than five years of public dating. Meanwhile, last February a photo showing him offering a ring against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris was released, sparking rumors that he had proposed.
At the time, the agency denied the marriage rumor, saying, "It was an event photographed to celebrate the girlfriend's birthday," but nine months later in November it announced, "Ok Taecyeon promised to spend his life with the person he has been seeing for a long time. The wedding will be held privately next spring at a location in Seoul with only family from both sides, relatives and close acquaintances in attendance," thereby formalizing his joining the ranks of married men.
In particular, Ok Taecyeon announced the marriage in a handwritten letter, saying, "I promised to spend my life with the one person who has believed in me for a long time. We will be a reliable presence for each other and walk through life together."
Ok Taecyeon also said, "I sincerely thank everyone who has supported me with unwavering hearts until I am who I am today. I cannot express in words how much your love and support have given me strength," and added, "I will continue to do my best to repay the love and trust you have shown me as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon."
Meanwhile, Ok Taecyeon debuted in 2008 as a member of the group 2PM. Following Chansung, who married in 2022, Ok Taecyeon will become the second married member within the group.
