[OSEN] Broadcaster Ahn Sun-young recently mentioned the increasingly stringent U.S. entry inspections and customs checks.
On the afternoon of the 25th, a video titled "Travel essentials for overseas trips | Prepare everything with this one video!!" was posted on the YouTube channel "This is Ahn Sun-young."
Ahn Sun-young said the atmosphere has changed, noting, "Since it changed to President Trump, airport screenings have become quite more stringent." She specifically mentioned attire on entry, explaining, "When dressing, try to wear comfortable clothes if possible, and if you dress too flashy or show off luxury brands, there are cases where customs detain you."
She emphasized thorough document preparation required for U.S. entry, adding, "One of the rumors is that these days the U.S. even requires a criminal record certificate. You have to obtain a document from the police stating that you have never committed a crime while living in Korea, and you must have that document notarized in English."
Ahn Sun-young said, "I took that file this big with me," describing the extensive preparation process. She also mentioned the importance of financial creditworthiness, saying, "If you fall into arrears on card payments, it becomes a big problem. If you are moving, immigrating, or need to stay for several years because of a child's study abroad, it becomes a major obstacle," drawing attention.
