[OSEN] Broadcaster Ahn Sun-young emphasized the essential documents and precautions that must be brought when traveling abroad alone with her child.
On the afternoon of the 25th, a video titled "Overseas travel essentials must-haves | Finish preparations with this one video!!" was posted on the YouTube channel "This is Ahn Sun-young."
Ahn Sun-young said, "First of all, when leaving the country you absolutely must bring your passport. When bringing your passport and taking a child with you, the thing you must absolutely check is the family relation certificate," she began.
She referred to strengthened immigration checks in Western countries. She explained, "Especially in Europe or North America, in English-speaking countries it's the same: because the child takes the father's surname, if only the mother takes the child out, won't the surnames be different? They might ask in English, 'How is this your child? Didn't you kidnap him?'"
She also warned against relying on translators, saying, "If you go trusting only Papago, your schedule will be a mess. So at the first checkpoint after arrival, if the person taking the child is the mother, the surnames will be different. You must get the family relation certificate in English, and when you get it in English, you must have a consent form signed by the husband and obtain English notarization," she advised.
Finally, Ahn Sun-young reiterated thorough preparation, saying, "Immigration control review has been greatly strengthened now. If you think a passport alone will do, you'll be in big trouble."
