'EXchange / Transit Love' cast member Park Hyun-ji mentioned how she came to appear with two exes, the first time in the season.

That day Park Hyun-ji talked about the process of appearing on 'EXchange / Transit Love', saying, "Actually, it's not clear who applied. The production team didn't tell me the process. I was contacted first via DM. I'm not someone who uses Instagram a lot or has many followers. I didn't see the DM at first and ignored it, but they left a comment on a post asking me to check it once, so I thought someone must have applied."
She continued, "But they didn't tell me that either, so I don't know the reason. Once you go, they ask about all your past relationships. They talk while I talk about the people I've dated."
He said that "until the appearance was confirmed, I didn't know who the counterpart was. Actually, I learned I would be going out with two people after meeting with the production team about twice, and at the third meeting they asked to meet once more, so I went, and then they said all of Hyun-ji's exes wanted to appear and after seeing that they thought I was an attractive person. So they wanted to do it with Hyun-ji, but two people were coming, was that okay?" mentioning the situation at the time of casting.
Then Park Hyun-ji said, "So I asked, 'Who are the two people?' and they named them. The two agreed, and they said it was just up to Hyun-ji to decide." She added, "We were in contact with the production team for almost two months, and toward the end I thought I would go out. I had my mind set on one person, so I thought I would go out only with that person."
Park Hyun-ji said, "When it actually happened I was very worried, but at that time they said that person was coming so I decided I should go too. I made the decision with that mindset."
He also said, "They didn't tell me how many cast members would appear. What I was most worried about was 'could it be just me with two people?' or 'am I the only one like that?' They reassured me a lot and said, 'We'll tell you when we get there,' so even before going to Japan I kept thinking who would come each time the bell rang, wondering 'who might it be?' but in the end they didn't come. So I was really discouraged in Japan."
In addition, Park Hyun-ji said about her relationship with Jo Yoo-sik, who became her final couple, "we comfortably get along like good older sister and younger brother," clarifying they are not a real-life couple.
