Mamamoo member Solar will collaborate with Gen Z top band Accusefive.
Solar today (25) revealed a preview teaser of her Chinese single '總有一顆屬於的星球' (hereinafter "Your Own Star") on Mamamoo's official YouTube channel and announced the collaboration with Accusefive.
The video, made to resemble a messenger screen, featured Solar and Accusefive members Win An (Pan Pan An), Quan Qing, and Richard Lin exchanging warm messages. With lines like "March 9, right?" and "Let's meet then," viewers were led to guess the release date, and surprise spoiler images from the "Your Own Star" music video shoot were also revealed, raising anticipation.
"Your Own Star" is a song that sings about the moments that stay by your side even when you feel like nothing. It depicts the process of finding one's own coordinates and the meaning of existence amid the vast flow of time.
Accusefive, who joins Solar on the track, formed in 2017 and won wide affection after being listed in the "song of the year" category at the Golden Melody Awards with "又到天黑 (We Will Be Fine)," one of Taipei's three major music awards ceremonies representing Taipei in 2024.
Previously, Solar reached No. 1 on Taipei iTunes' "top song" chart with the Chinese single "Floating Free," a collaboration with Taipei indie music scene representative singer-songwriter 9m88, and with "Your Own Star" she is expected to show musical synergy with Accusefive that transcends borders, drawing strong local interest.
Solar's Chinese single "Your Own Star" will be released through various music sites at 6 p.m. on March 9.
