ILLIT member Yoon-a showed off her cheerful hosting skills on a solo web variety show.
Yoon-a hosted singer Kim Yonja as a guest on episode 4 of the web variety show "How to use the modern world," which was released on the YouTube channel MUPLY on the 24th.
"How to use the modern world" is a program in which Yoon-a, representing the 10s and 20s generation, becomes a one-day tutor and teaches middle-aged and older guests the latest trends. Yoon-a previously drew attention by wittily introducing how to use kiosks and how to use buffets. In this episode, she took on a special lesson on "K-pop idols' stage costumes by generation."
Yoon-a's trendy charm and witty speaking skills stood out. She interestingly narrated the evolution of girl group stage costumes from the first to the fifth generation, capturing viewers' attention. She also tailored her explanations to the senior singer Kim Yonja's level and created rapport, showing chemistry that transcended generations.
The highlight was the two performers' joint stage of "Amor Party." Yoon-a not only perfectly pulled off Kim Yonja's flamboyant stage costume by wearing it herself, but also adeptly reproduced the signature turn choreography, heating up the atmosphere. They then held a dance battle, turning the venue into a sea of laughter. Kim Yonja said, "Time flew by thanks to the lovely junior Yoon-a. I look forward to seeing ILLIT grow into a global group."
Meanwhile, ILLIT, of which Yoon-a is a member, will hold its first tour ILLIT LIVE "PRESS START♥" at the Ticketlink Live Arena (formerly the handball arena) in Seoul on Mar. 13–14 next month. The show will start in Seoul and proceed to seven domestic and overseas cities, including Aichi, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hyogo and Tokyo, before ending in Hong Kong.
