'Morning Yard' announcer Park Cheol-gyu was absent due to his wife's childbirth, and announcer Lee Jae-seong filled the spot.
On the 24th broadcast of KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard,' announcer Lee Jae-seong teamed up with announcer Eom Ji-in in place of announcer Park Cheol-gyu.
That day Eom Ji-in said, "You were surprised, weren't you? The seat next to me has changed," and "Those quick to notice probably already knew, but announcer Park Cheol-gyu became a father last night. They say he had a beautiful daughter. So announcer Lee Jae-seong joined us," she said.
Announcer Lee Jae-seong also said, "It's been a while since I greeted you this morning. I was packing because I'm preparing to move, when last night I suddenly got a call from the Director General. He said announcer Park Cheol-gyu had a smooth delivery and would be absent, and asked if I was available in the morning. With a congratulatory heart, I came running," he said.
Meanwhile, Park Cheol-gyu personally announced his wife's pregnancy in November last year. He said that after becoming a fixed cast member of 'Morning Yard' things changed and "this year is becoming a very special year. In August something I never imagined happened. I became an 'Morning Yard' MC. Relatives no longer ask me about it. Rather, I keep getting messages that my parents were very impressed, so they're proud," he explained.
Park Cheol-gyu also shared the surprise news, "Double joy has come. At the same time as taking on the 'Morning Yard' MC role, a precious life has come to my wife and me. I will become a father in February next year," receiving many congratulations on site.
Meanwhile, Park Cheol-gyu joined as a KBS public recruitment 50th class announcer in 2023 and has appeared on a variety of programs across news, entertainment and culture.
