Actor Han Guru explained the reason she does not send i-dle to private academies.
On the 24th, a video titled "the hell of 돌밥돌밥 begins: a 24-hour close-up vlog of a mother afraid of school vacation" was posted on the YouTube channel "그루니까말이야."
During i-dle's vacation they ate lunch out, and after returning home Han Guru spent time doing art play with the children, when the production team asked, "It's vacation but aren't they going to academies?"
Han Guru said, "When they go to their father they said they learned dance and jiu-jitsu. When they're with me they only do one eye-level class a week and swimming. They don't attend study academies."
She continued, "Actually I'm not very anxious about it. I think later when the children are ready they'll say if they want or need it. But recently Raon said she wanted to go to an English academy. I looked into it and there was nowhere she could go. They need to have basic phonics, but I don't know if the children have mastered phonics. If they don't have that foundation they can't go and it's too hard to keep up. It seems studying is already late anyway. I'll think they'll speak up if they need it, and I won't make them study," she said, expressing her conviction.
There was a reason Han Guru doesn't send i-dle to academies. She said, "I lived in the United States when I was young and also lived in China. I did many things from a young age — ballet, horseback riding, English, Chinese, martial arts. I learned many things, but learning without a purpose means you can't keep doing them," and added, "So even if my children are a little late, I hope they really think a lot about it and go through the process of working on their own to achieve what they truly want."
