Comedian Heo Kyunghwan said that about two months after his appearance on tvN You Quiz on the Block, he had received no contact from the production team and candidly expressed his disappointment.
On the 23rd, a video titled "The real daily life of Heo Kyunghwan not shown on the broadcast... curious? (with. Kim Young-chul hyung & Lee Dong-gun hyung)" was posted on Heo Kyunghwan's YouTube channel "If you're curious, Heo Kyunghwan." In the video, Heo Kyunghwan ate with Kim Young-chul and shared behind-the-scenes talk about "You Quiz."
Heo Kyunghwan began by saying, "Originally, what we arranged to meet for was because of 'You Quiz,'" and Kim Young-chul laughed, saying, "I went with no thoughts, but comments said, 'Is Kim Young-chul also auditioning?'" After the vacancy left by former MC Cho Sae-ho, interest focused on the new face of "You Quiz," and Heo Kyunghwan's appearance also prompted reactions calling it a "national MC audition."
When Kim Young-chul said, "They told me it was an interview for me too," Heo Kyunghwan responded, "Why don't they announce it there? Why not announce it," expressing his frustration and drawing laughter. When Kim Young-chul asked, "What if I get it?" Heo Kyunghwan jokingly threw a playful jab, "I'll 인정 up to senior."
Then Kim Young-chul suggested, "It would be great if Kyunghwan joined, and it wouldn't be strange if I became one. Then how about the three of us doing it?" and Heo Kyunghwan honestly replied, "I would love that... but I think the three would be difficult," turning the scene into a sea of laughter.

Previously, Heo Kyunghwan appeared on You Quiz on the Block, which aired on Dec. 31 last year, and spoke with Yu Jae-seok. At the time he said, "I thought it was too early because I still didn't have a point," and "Still, the writer said he might hang up the phone, so he said he would do it," eliciting laughter. An episode was also revealed in which his manager received the recruitment call and asked, "Is this an MC recruitment?", which became a topic of conversation.
Afterward, Heo Kyunghwan posted a photo of himself dressed in a suit sitting in front of the TV with the caption, "They said it's an interview," which further fueled the "You Quiz MC interview rumor." However, about two months later, with no contact from the production team, Heo Kyunghwan expressed his disappointment.
