The group Hearts2Hearts (Hearts2Hearts, SM Entertainment) celebrated its first debut anniversary today (24th).
Hearts2Hearts debuted on Feb. 24 last year with the dreamy and mysterious debut song 'The Chase', and went on to showcase diverse musical colors and distinctive large-group "precise-cut performances" with songs such as 'STYLE', which contains bouncy, positive energy, and 'FOCUS', which has a cool and chic mood, earning enthusiastic responses from global fans and winning nine rookie awards, the most rookie awards among debuting artists in 2025.
Also, Hearts2Hearts sold out all seats including limited-view seats for their first fan meeting held at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul, on the 21st and 22nd, demonstrating their high popularity, and ahead of that, on the 20th they released the new single 'RUDE!', which showed bold and lively charm; the music video surpassed 10 million views in about a day after its release and now (as of 9 a.m. on the 24th) has comfortably exceeded 27 million views, and the song quickly climbed the music charts, peaking at No. 8 on Melon TOP100 (as of 0:00 on the 23rd).
Having thus proven their overwhelming momentum worthy of being the "best rookie," Hearts2Hearts, celebrating their first debut anniversary, shared their story of the past year directly.
Below is a Q&A about Hearts2Hearts' first debut anniversary.
Q. How do you feel about reaching your first debut anniversary?
Jiwoo: I still can't believe it's already been a year since our debut. Over the past year we were able to grow while receiving so much love, and every moment became a precious memory! I think we could get here thanks to S2U (Hachu, the official fandom name) who always cheered us on. We'll continue to show even cooler sides in Hearts2Hearts' own colors.
Carmen: Already a year... I really can't believe it! I'm so, so grateful to the fans who always support and love us. Thanks to you, I was really happy throughout the year. Let's be together for a long, long time! Promise~
Yuha: I think the year has been filled with truly happy memories thanks to the fans! I'm grateful that you have always been a steady presence by our side. We'll become a Hearts2Hearts you can be proud of so we can be together for a long time! Love you always!
Stella: I can't believe Hearts2Hearts' one year has already passed! The members worked hard during that time, and I'm really happy to have met our fans. We'll work hard so we can show more grown-up sides, so please give us lots of love and attention!
Jueun: I can't believe it's already been a year since we met our fans. Over the past year we've made many happy and fun memories, and the fans were always part of those memories. I want to make many more fun and great memories in the future!
Aina: I can't believe it's already the first anniversary! Over the year I feel like I learned and felt a lot while being with the fans and the members. I hope the fans will stay by our side for a long time hehe
IAAN: It's hard to believe it's already been a year since our debut; time flew by so fast. It was our first year with the fans and it was truly happy. I hope the fans also had a happy year with us!
Yeon: Meeting S2U (Hachu) for the first time and spending a year together made this a meaningful year. I want to build many more good memories with S2U (Hachu). Let's meet for a long time in healthy condition!
Q. What is the most memorable thing that happened over the past year?
Carmen: The first fan meeting. I think it will remain in my memory for life. It was so moving that words can't describe it; it felt like a dream, and I still can't believe we had the fan meeting. All those moments of laughing, crying and excitement became unforgettable memories, and I was happy to be there as a Hearts2Hearts member. I'm grateful that so many people came to see us, and I'm glad we got closer to the fans. We'll show more good images and stages in the future!
Aina: The showcase for our first mini album 'FOCUS' is the most memorable! Because it was our first mini album, we all prepared really hard, and during the showcase we felt closer to the fans.
Yeon: The "SMTOWN LIVE 2025" tour is the most memorable. We debuted in the year of the company's 30th anniversary, and performing on the same stages as senior artists in various regions was a great experience where we learned a lot!
Q. How do you feel about 'RUDE!' receiving a hot response as soon as it was released?
Stella: 'RUDE!' was a song we all liked as soon as we heard it, and we're really happy that it's receiving so much love right after release! We feel the fans' passionate support, which makes us proud. I want to show Hearts2Hearts' charm with 'RUDE!' on many stages soon.
Jueun: 'RUDE!' came from thinking about how we could approach fans with a newer and more exciting song, and it's really rewarding and I'm thankful that fans liked it as soon as it came out and that it entered the upper ranks of the charts.
Q. 'RUDE!' is a song where you can see a new charm of Hearts2Hearts. What part did you pay the most attention to while preparing it? When watching the stage, what should viewers focus on?
Yuha: We paid a lot of attention to the performance this time as well, and we tried to better synchronize the eight members. We included many elements that would entertain viewers so that every part would feel like a "killing part."
Jueun: As the title suggests, I paid a lot of attention to acting with a 'RUDE!' expression. You won't have a dull moment watching the stage; you'll be able to enjoy it funfully!
Q. Contrary to the lyrics of 'RUDE!', which contain a cute rebellion that refuses to be bound by fixed rules, are there rules among the members that must be followed? Or are there rules you want to create in the future?
Stella: Before performing, we have a rule of shouting a slogan together! Every time we do that, our energy goes up and we gain confidence, so we can enjoy the stage more.
IAAN: I want to make a new rule that whoever is the latest to arrive in situations where we have to take photos together or gather as a group gets a penalty!
Yeon: There's a rule at the dorm that clothes should be put away in each person's closet as soon as laundry is done. We used to leave washed clothes on the living room shelf, but they started piling up, so after that we made this rule and have been practicing it!
Q. You've been getting good responses for your own content. Which content is most memorable? Is there content you'd like to try in the future?
Yuha: I think the 'girls' night' content showed our most authentic selves. Fans also seem to like it most when we show our true selves, so we want to continue showing many unpretentious and honest charms!
Jueun: It's hard to pick just one because all the content we've released so far has been fun, but if I had to choose, I'd say the content with the concept of 'Culinary Class Wars'! I liked how we showed our charm in a sketch-like way. In the future, I'd like to try talk-focused content or more active content!
Aina: The 'girls' night' content is the most memorable. It was really fun to film, and I think it showed our truest selves. I want to film lots of content where we comfortably talk among ourselves in the future.
Q. What do you think is the 'style' that fans love about Hearts2Hearts?
Jiwoo: I think Hearts2Hearts' style is 'honesty within confidence.' On stage we show bold and confident sides, and off stage we show natural and relaxed charm. I think fans love the attraction that comes from that contrast in temperature!
Stella: The eight of us each have different charms, and I think those charms mix to create a great synergy!
IAAN: I think fans like our unique chemistry and our bubbly, lively charm!
Q. You achieved nine rookie awards, fulfilling the goal you announced at debut last year. What goals do Hearts2Hearts want to achieve this year?
Carmen: To all stay healthy and happy while promoting, to meet more fans, and to reach No. 1 on the music charts! I hope more people will love the songs we release this year.
Jiwoo: I want to show growth in both music and performance. Also, it's a goal to promote healthily with the members!
Q. Do you have anything you want to say to the members who realized the dream of debut together and will continue the journey ahead?
Jiwoo: Members, I love you and I'm always grateful! Don't get hurt, don't be sick, and let's be thankful for being busy and promote hard!
Carmen: Thank you for always being by my side, helping me a lot, cheering me on, and saying many kind things to each other! Let's be together for life! I love you
Yuha: Members! A lot has happened from when we were trainees until now, but because we had each other we were able to do anything well! Let's continue to be the most reliable and supportive people for each other! Let's be together for a long time, love you~~
