'Doctor Shin' contains a shocking narrative that moves between love and desire, taboo and sacrifice through the bizarre romance among a top star who fell into a coma due to an unexpected accident, the man who loved her, and the men who love her.
'Doctor Shin' is drawing attention as a medical thriller drama first written by writer Phoebe, who rose to icon of the shocking with unsurpassable imagination. Added to this, director Lee Seung-hoon, who directed Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce), lends his strength to complete a 'Phoebe-style medical thriller drama.'
In 'Doctor Shin', Jung I-chan plays Shin Joo-shin, director of neurosurgery at Nua Hospital and chairman of the Nua Foundation orphanage, a genius doctor who challenges the realm of gods, leading the 'Phoebe-style medical thriller drama.' In the drama, Shin Joo-shin is a neurosurgical authority with brain surgery skills close to a miracle, surpassing his late father, Dr. Shin Woo-pil. He is a character who has everything: not only medical ability but also a solid family background and extraordinarily handsome looks.
In this regard, Jung I-chan revealed a look in which bizarre charm and dignity coexist as the title role Shin Joo-shin of 'Doctor Shin.' In the drama, Shin Joo-shin, befitting a genius neurosurgical authority, displays extreme concentration as he immerses himself in surgery. Also, wearing a doctor's gown, Shin Joo-shin drinks wine with a serious expression and then converses while staring at someone intently, casting a sense of unease.
