The group IVE shared their thoughts on taking on a new challenge.
IVE held a showcase on the afternoon of the 23rd at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their second full-length album REVIVE+ (Revive Plus) and discussed the new album.
Having conveyed a message of "self-assurance" centered on the "I" and expanded their perspective to "empathy" and "solidarity" to form a deep rapport with the public, IVE plans to expand the narrative from "I" to "we" through this album and show another charm.
Wonyoung explained, "If we have been talking about the self and subjectivity, this time, as much as we have grown, we tried to create an expanded worldview. It is a 'we' that includes not only IVE but also the listeners. I hope people listen and receive positive energy."
When asked about the most changed aspect, Liz replied, "If the messages we have been delivering were centered on the 'I,' this album contains messages expanded from 'I' to 'we.' We also tried many new things in the performance and the songs. I would appreciate it if you could look at us from a new perspective."
Regarding achievements they want to challenge next, she said, "There is a descriptive phrase we'd like to hear: that we are artists who make people curious about what comes next. Until now we've often done very princess-like concepts, but this time we tried something new and many people loved it, so I think we'll try many more things in the future, and I hope people become more curious about us as a result."
Meanwhile, IVE will release their second full-length album REVIVE+ (Revive Plus) at 6 p.m. that day on various online music platforms and begin comeback activities.
