"Sikgaek: Heo Yeong-man's baekban journey" Go Soo revealed a surprising past from his unknown days.
On the 22nd broadcast of TV CHOSUN "Sikgaek: Heo Yeong-man's baekban journey," Heo Yeong-man and Go Soo visited Busan for a food trip.
That day Heo Yeong-man guided Go Soo to his regular dwaeji gukbap restaurant. While waiting for the food, Heo Yeong-man asked, "Go Soo, was being an actor your dream from the beginning? Or were you discovered on the street?"
Go Soo said, "No, that's not it. I also had profile photos taken and circulated them a lot. I went to many auditions," and Heo Yeong-man said, "So you weren't just sitting and waiting."
Above all, Go Soo said, "That's right. Then suddenly I got a suggestion like, 'Would you like to try doing a play?' It was a play at the National Theater. I'm only saying this now, but I was the third dwarf in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,'" revealing a surprise.
He continued, "If there are seven dwarfs, there should be a prince, right? When the seven dwarfs say beside me, 'Where is the princess today, when will she come?' suddenly someone would ride in on a horse and look really cool. That person was Park Hae-il. I acted as a dwarf for about half a month," he said.
Also, Heo Yeong-man asked, "Which role has been the most difficult you've done so far?" Go Soo replied, "Still, what I remember most is when I did a work called 'Piano.' It wasn't when I had a lot of acting experience, and you know that kind of instinctive acting," he said.
Recalling that he played a role who liked his older half sister in the story, Go Soo said, "I don't think I did bright, lovey-dovey romance or melodrama," remembering his past roles. When Heo Yeong-man said, "You mainly played serious roles," Go Soo expressed regret, "Yes. A bit heartbreaking."
Go Soo also recalled the film 'A Frozen Flower' with actress Han Hyojoo. He said, "When we filmed 'A Frozen Flower,' the wife had already died. She had passed away, and then a woman (Han Hyojoo) came to bother me and a romance unfolded. It's also a story about holding a love that has died in your heart," he said.
Go Soo is preparing to return with the Wave original drama "Reverse" that will be released soon. About "Reverse" he said, "For example, a teacher got engaged. One day the fiancée has an accident and loses all her memories, suffering from amnesia. That's how the story begins," introducing it as a mystery melodrama revenge story.
Meanwhile, while eating mackerel sashimi at the final restaurant, Go Soo attracted attention by revealing a story about how a cat once stole his mackerel in the past.
Go Soo recalled, "It was when we were filming the drama 'Green Rose.' On the first day of shooting we filmed in a shantytown and there was a scene where I bought a mackerel to take to my mother. While waiting for the shoot, a cat staggered over and stared as if devouring it and came closer," he recalled.
He added, "I felt bad. I was scared, so I briefly gave the mackerel to the cat, put the nearby pebble in a bag and ran," which drew laughter.
