YouTuber Park Wi recalled the past when he was diagnosed with complete paralysis immediately after the fall.
On the 21st, Park Wi shared a video from the official Compassion channel through his social account. In the video, Park Wi and his wife Song Ji-eun talked about "sharing."
Park Wi opened up, "When I was diagnosed with complete paralysis and lying down, there was nothing I could do. I couldn't even drink a sip of water unless someone fed it to me. But at that time my family, friends and countless church members whose names I don't even know prayed for me and cheered me on."
He expressed his gratitude, "Until then I had never thought about living while receiving help. Being in that situation, when I received help it became such a huge source of strength. If those people really hadn't been there, I don't think I could be out here smiling and living like this now. Those helps truly lifted me up in ways words can't express."
In response, Song Ji-eun said, "If I think about how terrifying, frightening and lonely it would be to be isolated and receive no help when I'm someday in a difficult situation, then if my monthly sponsorship amount or the attention I give can allow a child there to dream and grow, and that child can overcome those hardships without feeling lonely or afraid, of course that's something I can do." She added, "What if it were me? Wouldn't I also be desperately hoping for help?"
Meanwhile, Park Wi, who was once diagnosed with complete paralysis after a fall, conveyed much hope by regaining the ability to move his upper body through consistent rehabilitation. He later married Song Ji-eun, a former member of Secret, in 2024, and is sharing his daily life through the YouTube channel 'Wiracle' and others.
