Hollywood actor Timothy Chalamet (30) personally revealed the story of why he had to apologize to his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
Chalamet recently, while conversing with actor Matthew McConaughey at a Hollywood town hall hosted by Variety and CNN, disclosed an episode that took place on his 30th birthday last December.
He expressed his affection for McConaughey's landmark work "Interstellar" and said, "I watched it 12 times in the theater." McConaughey mentioned, "Kylie prepared an IMAX screening of 'Interstellar' for his birthday," and Chalamet acknowledged it.
Chalamet honestly confessed, "Actually, I grumbled a bit on the way there. I didn't even know where we were going. I thought, 'It's my birthday, why are we driving 30 minutes outside LA to go?'"
He added, "When we arrived at the theater and saw that 'Interstellar' was playing in IMAX, I immediately apologized, 'Sorry. I'm sorry I acted grumpy on the way here.'"
When the details of the surprise event were revealed, online reactions were mixed. Many reacted that it was a cute couple episode, but some criticized, "Complaining about a 30-minute drive is a red flag." Others responded, "An IMAX 'Interstellar' on your birthday is the best gift," and "You must protect a girlfriend like that."
Meanwhile, Chalamet appeared in 'Interstellar' as the son of Casey Affleck. Although his role was not large, he has in the past called the film "the favorite project I've participated in."
Recently Chalamet has been sweeping awards with his new film 'Maati Supreme.' He won the Golden Globe for best actor in a musical or comedy and mentioned Jenner in his acceptance remarks, and at the Critics' Choice Awards he expressed his affection, saying, "I thank my partner who has been with me for three years. I couldn't have done it without you."
Meanwhile, Page Six reported that Timothy Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are enjoying "newlywed life." They have not filed a marriage registration, but they are cohabiting in a state that is effectively no different from being married. According to the report, one source said the two have been living together in Los Angeles for more than a year.
