'Mr. Living 2' comedian Ji Sang-ryeol said he would do anything for love.
On the 21st episode of KBS2TV variety show 'Mr. Living 2', comedian Ji Sang-ryeol and comedienne Kim Ji-hye appeared in the studio. Alongside Ji Sang-ryeol, Kim Ji-hye used her exceptional wit to turn the studio into a sea of laughter.
Park Seo-jin's family's New Year gathering for Lunar New Year was somewhat bleak. Park Seo-jin said, "Mom looks like a servant," making a decidedly unflattering comment about his mother's hanbok attire. Park Hyo-jung angrily said, "Didn't you agree to speak nicely?" and Kim Ji-hye pointed out, "You're just saying the clothes are pretty."
Park Seo-jin said, "I really wanted to say she looks pretty, but the words just wouldn't come out," and felt awkward.
The mother, as always, showed loneliness, saying, "If my maternal grandmother were alive, she would have joined us. I'm really envious of those with siblings." Ji Sang-ryeol suggested a way to solve the mother's loneliness, asking, "Isn't this season when mothers feel lonely? What if I tell Shin Bo-ram and introduce someone to Park Seo-jin?" Park Seo-jin recoiled, saying, "That could go wrong," but Ji Sang-ryeol did not give up.
Eun Ji-won asked, "Does Ji Sang-ryeol's family have ancestral rites or anything?" Of course, when Ji Sang-ryeol said they observe both memorial rites and ancestral rites, Park Seo-jin was surprised and said, "Then would Shin Bo-ram have to do them all if she marries?" However, Ji Sang-ryeol shouted as if it were obvious, "What, I'll do them all. Bo-ram should just stay still."
Kim Ji-hye marveled, "Wow, oppa is really going to get married this year," and Ji Sang-ryeol introduced himself jokingly, "Shin Bo-ram's boyfriend!" turning the studio into a sea of laughter.
Ji Sang-ryeol's doting moments kept coming. When Park Seo-jin said her goal this year was to live abroad for a month to improve her English, Ji Sang-ryeol said, "Meeting Bo-ram, who speaks well, I used to stutter in Korean, but I became better at speaking," presenting this as evidence for Lee Yo-won's comment that "you improve quickly when you date." Kim Ji-hye teased, "Why are you bragging about Bo-ram so much? Are you perhaps not able to contact Shin Bo-ram?"
Also, Takuya tightened his budget after returning from Japan. So extreme was it that he declared he would not turn on the boiler and would keep the indoor temperature at 19 degrees, surprising everyone. Takuya wore a long padded jacket and sleep pants, boiled water and kept it in a thermos to use as a heater, exercised to raise his body heat, and became obsessed with saving on heating expenses. His meals were little more than cup noodles.
Ji Sang-ryeol said nonchalantly, "I don't turn on the boiler. I keep it at 19 degrees even in midwinter." Kim Ji-hye asked, "What if Bo-ram says, 'Oppa, I'm cold'?" and Ji Sang-ryeol replied without hesitation, "Then I'll just make her a charcoal sauna," prompting Eun Ji-won to suspect, "I guess Shin Bo-ram really isn't answering her phone?"
