'Detectives' Trade Secrets' reveals the heartbreaking story of a 20-year-old man searching for his biological father who left 18 years ago, and an aunt who raised that nephew like her own child.
On Mon. the 23rd at 10 p.m., Channel A's Detectives' Trade Secrets will air after receiving a desperate request from a 20-year-old client asking, "Please find the biological father who left 18 years ago." The client was raised within the protective care of the aunt's family, the sister of his biological mother, from around the age of two following his parents' divorce. Originally, the client had been placed with his biological father's family, but the aunt, feeling sympathy for the nephew, brought him home after discussing it with her husband and raised him alongside her two sons as if they were biological siblings. The client expressed deep gratitude and affection toward the aunt and uncle who cared for him like their own child, saying, "My aunt and uncle are like parents." The aunt also revealed her extraordinary maternal love, saying, "I have never thought of him as just a nephew. I tried to raise him exactly like my biological sons."
But when the story about the client's biological mother continues, the studio is thrown into shock. The client's aunt said bitterly, "In the past 18 years, my sibling has only come once, to our nephew's elementary school graduation. The only financial support was 300,000 won." She added, "We never received any child support, and on the contrary, I lent money," a revelation that horrified everyone.
