Broadcaster Park Na-rae was questioned as a suspect, and A, known as the so-called "injection aunt," underwent a second police interrogation the same day.
The Seoul Gangnam Police Station summoned A, who faces charges of violating the Medical Service Act, the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act and allegations of psychotropic drug violations under the Narcotics Control Act, as a suspect on the 20th and conducted a second investigation. A is suspected of administering intravenous injections and prescribing antidepressants to Park Na-rae in private spaces such as officetels and vehicles without a domestic medical license.
Police are reported to have imposed a travel ban on A at the end of last year and carried out searches and seizures of the residence and other locations. A is under investigation over allegations of illegal medical practices involving multiple people, including Park Na-rae, SHINee member Key, and creator Short Mouth Sun.
On the same day, Park Na-rae was also questioned as a suspect on charges including aggravated injury and violating the Medical Service Act. The questioning was reported to have lasted about 7 hours and 40 minutes.
Earlier, A publicly disclosed on social media that she had undergone a first police investigation on the 7th, saying, "I clearly said 'no' about parts that are not true, and I acknowledged my mistakes for the parts that were lacking." However, after deleting that post, she repeatedly posted then made private provocative posts such as "9 hours of questioning. Now it's your turn. Especially one man." which sparked controversy.
A drew attention by leaving a post on social media the day before the second investigation saying, "When I see you all so green and fresh, my heart somehow becomes calm."
The police plan to review whether to conduct additional investigations based on the secured materials and witness statements.<
