In My Little Old Boy, GREE, who was discharged from the Marine Corps with a strict military bearing, revealed an anecdote about mentioning aespa's Karina during training camp that elevated him to "a power broker."
On the afternoon of the 22nd, SBS's My Little Old Boy (hereafter "My Little Old Boy") aired, revealing for the first time GREE's discharge scene and daily life after completing his Marine Corps service.
To celebrate the recently discharged GREE, Lim Won-hee and Jo Jin-se went out to meet him holding bouquets and a banner. Appearing in a dashing manner, GREE shouted "Pilseung" as he reported his discharge. The three then headed to GREE's home and shared his changed daily life. Lim Won-hee, who remembered GREE's house as messy in the past, expressed surprise at the neatness that could not be seen in the previous home.
When asked whether a female celebrity had ever visited him during his service, GREE replied, "A female celebrity has never come." Recalling his training camp days, he began, "When you get close in training camp, you ask. Do you have a close female celebrity? Who did you see? Isn't it aespa?"
GREE explained the situation at the time, "I just said I knew who it was so they would know. They assume you're close to all celebrities. (My training camp mates) said they heard rumors that I'm close with aespa. They asked if it was Karina. I've never received such a look before — that's the kind of look I got."
GREE said of his fellow trainees' enthusiastic reaction, "I boasted, 'I'm close with Rina.' It caused an uproar," drawing laughter. He added, "There is a variety of snacks at religious activities. When I said I was close with Karina, they dedicated them to me," provoking roaring laughter from the audience.
