'MZ wannabe icon' IVE (IVE: An Yu-jin·Gaeul·Ray·Jang Won-young·Reeze·Lee Seo) is ready to draw the eyes and ears of K-pop listeners with 'Blackhole'.
The agency Starship Entertainment released the music video teaser for the title track 'BLACKHOLE (Blackhole)' from IVE's second full-length album 'REVIVE+ (Revive Plus)' on the group's official SNS channels on the 21st.
The released music video teaser begins with the members' backs as they head toward an empty stadium. With a wide, unfolding sound, the screen cuts quickly and the members of IVE appear in rapid succession. Scenes include standing beneath an all-consuming black hole, silhouettes against flames that seem to herald a spectacular birth, and standing on a bridge connecting towering towers, leaving a strong impression in a short time.
In particular, the performance scenes with dozens of dancers immediately capture attention. The mega crew in white-toned outfits creates synchronized movements, with the members standing above them forming the performance's focal point. Then a staging that opens into space behind the members expands the sense of scale of the performance and raised anticipation for the full music video to a peak. The melody of 'Blackhole' that runs throughout the video also produces strong addictiveness, offering an overwhelming resonance that is hard to forget after a single listen.
The title track 'Blackhole' from the second full-length album 'Revive Plus' is a shuffle-based track unfolding in a cinematic atmosphere, and its wide sense of space and filmic sound textures are expected to maximize immersion. Centered in the new album's narrative, this song expands IVE's story from 'I' to 'we' and carries a message that newly defines the existence called 'we'.
Meanwhile, IVE's second full-length album 'REVIVE+ (Revive Plus)' will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. KST on the 23rd.
